Mayor Steve McMichael Appointed to Serve on National League of Cities Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee
New Haven, Indiana (January 17, 2024) – Steve McMichael, Mayor of the City of New Haven, Indiana, has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2024 Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee. Mayor McMichael was elected to a one-year term and will provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities on transportation and infrastructure. The appointment was announced by NLC President Mayor David Sander of Rancho Cordova, California.
Mayor McMichael states “I am honored to be appointed to the NLC’s 2024 Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee. One of the major priorities to building a lasting foundation for future generations is to invest in transportation and infrastructure. Developing policies that will connects communities, fuels economic growth, and enhance mobility will create a roadmap to a better, more connected tomorrow.”
As a member of the NLC’s Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee, Mayor McMichael will play a key role in will play a key role in shaping NLC’s policy positions and advocate on behalf of America’s cities, towns, and villages before Congress, with the President’s administration and at home.
