Department Administration

Jeff began his Law Enforcement career in 2003 as a Reserve Officer for the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. In January 2006, Jeff was hired as a full-time Officer for the New Haven Police Department. Jeff worked as a road patrol officer until 2011 when he was appointed as a Detective.

Jeff has held various roles and responsibilities while an Officer in New Haven. Jeff is or has been a crash investigator, Drone pilot, generalist instructor, Emergency Vehicle Operations instructor, Active Shooter instructor, Voice Stress Test Operator, Field Training Officer, Training Coordinator, Liaison to Reserves, Drug Task Force Officer and Member of the Emergency Response Team. In July 2019 Jeff was appointed to the position of Chief of Police.

Jeff is also a Deputy Coroner for the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

When not working, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, watching and playing sports and attending car shows.
